With a legacy of producing 71 MLB players and 20 first-round picks, Mississippi State remains a prominent player in the world of baseball.

This season, 45 former players are currently active in professional baseball, with 12 making their impact at the MLB level. Notable alumni include Adam Frazier of the Pittsburgh Pirates, who has a batting average of .254 with three home runs and 20 RBIs. Brent Rooker, now with the Athletics, is also having a strong season, sporting a .275 average complemented by 15 home runs and 41 RBIs. Other significant contributors include Nathaniel Lowe with the Washington Nationals, Jordan Westburg with the Baltimore Orioles, and Justin Foscue, recently recalled by the Texas Rangers.

Despite injuries affecting some players, including J.P. France of the Houston Astros and Brandon Woodruff of the Milwaukee Brewers — both on the 60-day injured list — the success of MSU alumni in MLB remains impressive.
