From January 13th to January 18th, you’ll have your chance to vote for the Athlete of the Week. You can submit your votes once every hour using your device, so don’t miss out! But remember, the voting poll closes at high noon on Friday, so be sure to get your votes in before then!

Last week saw some incredible achievements on the court. For instance, Brooklynn Adams from North Forrest shined brightly, racking up an impressive 27 points, along with eight steals, six assists, six rebounds, and four blocks in a 54-43 victory against Collins. Talk about a powerhouse performance!

Also making waves was Jalynn Applewhite from West Harrison, who poured in 24 points and gobbled up 17 rebounds during a 62-42 win against Picayune. Meanwhile, Kayleigh Chancellor from Florence showcased her skills with 23 points and 10 rebounds, contributing to a solid 46-32 victory over Brookhaven.

And let’s not forget Caitlin Hall from Coahoma County, who dominated the court with 30 points, 19 rebounds, four blocks, and three steals in a nail-biting 49-39 win against Holly Springs. Raylee Jones of Starkville Academy also made her mark, scoring 11 points, collecting 18 rebounds, and making pivotal contributions defensively during a 46-24 victory over Magnolia Heights.

Super 25 Rankings Reveal

Excitement builds with the latest Super 25 rankings, freshly released! Biloxi holds firm at the top spot, with Laurel and Hancock trailing closely behind. Newcomers in the rankings include Madison-Ridgeland Academy and Biggersville, who both show promise. Madison-Ridgeland Academy is on a hot streak, having won nine consecutive games, while Biggersville makes history as the first MHSAA Class 1A school to enter the rankings with an undefeated 10-0 record in Region 1 play.
