Starkville, Mississippi – Mississippi State baseball players Ace Reese and Noah Sullivan have been named to the ABCA/Rawlings South All-Region Team on June 10, 2025, reflecting their outstanding performances throughout the season. Reese received first-team honors as a sophomore third baseman, while Sullivan earned second-team recognition as a designated hitter.

Ace Reese had a remarkable season, starting in all 57 games. He topped the team with a batting average of .352, totaling 80 hits. His offensive prowess included 18 doubles, 21 home runs, and 66 RBIs, which culminated in 163 total bases and a slugging percentage of .718. Reese showcased his consistency by posting 25 multi-hit games, 20 multi-RBI games, and five multi-homer games throughout the 2025 season. His exceptional performance placed him second in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) for slugging percentage, third in home runs and total bases, fourth in doubles, sixth in RBIs, seventh in hits, and eighth in batting average.

Noah Sullivan made his mark as the only player from Mississippi State to start every one of the 59 games in 2025. The junior from Orlando, Florida, exhibited impressive stats with a batting average of .345, racking up 70 hits, including 16 doubles and 15 home runs while driving in 46 RBIs. Sullivan also led the team with a .475 on-base percentage and scored 63 runs. His on-base percentage ranks third in the SEC, highlighting his ability to get on base consistently.

The selections of Reese and Sullivan increased Mississippi State’s total of players named to the ABCA All-Region teams to 75 since 1949. Over that time, the Bulldogs have received a total of 93 honors, showcasing the program’s historical strength. In 2024, the recognition was shared among Jurrangelo Cijntje, Dakota Jordan, and Khal Stephen, who received first-team All-Region honors and David Mershon who was named to the second team.

Brian O’Connor, the new head coach for Mississippi State, is also a member of the ABCA NCAA Division I All-America and Coach of the Year committee, providing a connection to further accolades for the team.

Mississippi State concluded the 2025 season with a record of 36-23, ending their campaign after being eliminated from the College World Series in the Tallahassee regional.
